New guy. Just got myself a Uniden bct15 don't know if I'll ever figure out how to use it. But for now I'm looking for an antenna something that will cover everything for the car. I tryed a splitter for the car antenna that is made for a scanner. It seems when Im stopped it picks up good but when moving it brakes up.
Thanks for any help

You might want to try the Radio Shack MAGNET mount scanner antenna on the roof of your vehicle. I cant recall the stock #, but it has 2 chokes in the mast and goes for about $30. Never heard anything good about glass mounts.

I would try finding a tri-band antenna. Don't believe the hype from radioshack about their frequency coverage being everything between 29 and 1300mhz because they are lieing. From my experience most of their mobile stuff isn't that great and a good tri-band antenna should be able to be purchased for around 30-40 bucks if you shop around. And as was stated above, don't waste money with glass mounts unless all you are wanting to listen to is 800mhz. They suck horribly and a rubberduck antenna will outperform them more often than not.

You might try universal-radio.com I've bought a few items from them with no complaints.
Or you can go to:
http://www.scannermaster.com/Comtelco_All_Band_Low_Prof_Antenna_p/07-540719.htm

That is a good all-band antenna that is rather inexpensive but good quality. Good luck
