Thank you for replying. So I need that software installed first? Also I think I found the problem I had one cord in the wrong place. I've been up since midnight. Worked 4am-1pm today. Tired. I should have had one cord in the front of the scanner but I assumed it was to go into the back. Now I can't find that update scanner link to see if it'll work. Do you know where that is so I can try it again?
Wait, what scanner do you have? I don't know why I thought TRX-1

Okay that is not the correct driver, sorry. Yes the cord may have been in the wrong place, what software are you using to program it.

I believe I have Windows10 on my laptop
It might be Microsoft edge...sorry it's been a long day and my husband is sick and just got tested for Covid. Still waiting results.
Unless you are trying to manually program your scanner, not recommended, you need the programming software and cable.

Okay I have the transfer cable that came with the scanner so that should be what I need. I almost started there but I wasn't sure. So should I install both of those?
Is this what I'm seeing on the home page or is it located some where else on here. I'm sorry it's just been a day. I appreciate your help.

How do I know the cost of it?

I downloaded one from that one link I showed you. Not sure yet what to do but at least I could see some change on the scanner. I'll have to try and look at it tomorrow after I get some sleep. still waiting on a package to arrive or else I would be in bed by now.

ARC500 Basic is all you need to program your scanner. The Pro version provides logging functions.

I tried to get the basic one but it said it was out of stock so I paid like $70 for the ARC500Pro. That is a one time fee right?tvengr

That is a one time fee. I don't understand how a ARC500 Basic download can be out of stock. I just checked the Scanner Master site and it does indeed say out of stock. Very strange! Scanner Master is closed for the holiday so unable to get a response.

That is good that it's a one time fee. Ty 🤗 I still don't know what I'm doing on this scanner. Trying figure it out but I'm lost. My husband is sick right now. Tested yesterday for covid-19 and we just found out today that it's negative. But I can't ask him to help me as he's not feeling well. So I guess I'll have to put it aside for awhile until I can figure out how to work it

I am working on an ARC500 file for Richland and Lexington Counties. When completed, I will attach it here. You will be able to open it with your software and upload the programming to your scanner.

That's real sweet of you to do. I appreciate any help I can get even if it's just talking me through it. I'm going to try and get a better look at the scanner and software hopefully by Monday afternoon. I have to work all weekend and Monday as well. I work 4am to 1pm and by the time I get home I'm tired. Right now with my husband not feeling well I've not had my mind too much on how to work it. I did try yesterday but I couldn't seem to get anything on the scanner but static. I did get one channel on the Ham part that sounded like morse code and I did find a weather channel. After a while of getting nothing I put it away. Husband's Covid test came back negative yesterday which is good. **praying hands**
