Need Help THP in Jackson

[Freqed]

I have programed in the conventional 800Mhz freq. of 855.7375, all I getting is a buzz noise from the freq. anyone have any ideas? BCD996T

I maybe totally wrong but I think I read somewhere that some of those 800MHz frequencies were to be used for computers (MDTs) in patrol cars. I know I monitored a 800MHz frequency (can't remember the frequency) between Savannah and Lawrenceburg back in 2005 that had a buzzing noise (not the same as trunking "data channel" noise.

Yeah, I did all that, then scrolled to the bottom and saw the Conventinal 800Mhz also.

So far all of the 855 range frequencies are data for MDT's. No voice.

does Tennessee Highway patrol have any plans of upgrading their radio system?...i know alot of State police agencies and highway patrols have up graded to P25 Lately,

TN is implementing and Statewide 800 MHZ Motorola ASTRO TRS over the next few years starting in the Memphis area. It will be patched into the NC VIPER, the AWIN, MWIN TRS's, and have patches for the KSP also. The only digital TN agency currently is TWRA on APCO-25 Conventional.

Today, before I left the Hotel I heard some medical chatter on the 857.9625 (Elizabethtown) freq. It sounded like it was coming from Memphis.

If you want to Monitor THP Jackson. Listen to 42.42 and 42.260. You will here the Dispatcher on 42.42 and the cars on 42.260. You can also listen to 155.370 for Intercity traffic with THP and local agencies.
