Need help with frequencies I happened across...

While in tune mode, just going up and down all the bands. Frequency search shows nothing in Ohio, the first frequency said something about Berea OSP, maybe Turnpike east, the other is just a tower with digital noise.

Strength on both frequencies is very good.
1st one is 956.468750,
2nd is 958.243750.

I can't find anything anywhere on these frequencies.

Anyone have any ideas? This is one of these things I really like to do is find frequencies I have not heard before.

Any help is appreciated.

Strength on both frequencies is very good.

If it's 'very good', you might actually be seeing an image from your device being overloaded on the front end from being 'too close' to the transmitter.

What scanner are you using? If your scanner has IFX (intermediate frequency exchange), try using it on those frequencies. If the frequencies disappear, you are probably dealing with an image.

I have the WS 1065, I don't believe it has IFX, and the closest towers to me are both approximately 10 miles away each, to the NW and SE respectively.

Judging by the replies, it is most likely an image.
