need help

i am new to scanning and would like some help i have a the frequencys i need and there all put in my scanner and there all up to date but i dont hear any transmitions on some even the ones from my town but if you can help send me a message thanx canthony84

Well, that link is to a great site for us in Massachusetts, but it doesn't help with why he's not receiving anything. Let's start first;

1- What kind of scanner?
2- What area are you in?
3- What frequencies are you trying to monitor?
4- Is it manually programmed or via software?
