Melbourne is one agency on the Brevard County system, which is standard EDACS wideband, simulcast on four sites.
Not every agency appears on all sites.

System data is here in the database.

The Central Florida Scanner Page also carries very up-to-date info on the system.

Melbourne appears on the south (Palm Bay) and Eau Gallie and central (Rockledge) sites.

AFS or decimal applies ONLY to scanners. The system itself ALWAYS operates on
decimal talkgroup numbers. It's only the various types of scanners that may need to
have this info converted into a different format.

You don't need many groups to listen in on Melbourne. North and south primaries, north and south talkarounds, teletype if you want to hear a lot of mostly boring stuff, and if
they're out chasing drug dealers and prostitutes, one of the two specops groups will be
active as well. Countywide should be in your list, too.

For those of you who are capable of such things, I'll be at the Melbourne 'fest operating on 146.565 in IMBE digital mode. NAC will be 293 but I monitor in digital CSQ mode anyway.

I can also use any other VHF frequency as well. MURS and itinerants, of course.

Why not just use a typical analog frequency like everyone else?

Because he spent alot on his digital radios and would like to use them in digital mode.

Maybe ill be nice and let him use a VHF commercial frequency im licensed for, and have him talk in encrypted DES-OFB.. would that be better for you?

Elroy if you have UHF P25 capability, look for us on 444.200 IMBE simplex, NAC A55. Ill bring along my VHF as well and FPP ya in to it on your freq if you dont have UHF.

Analog already is interoperable.
I think the digital bug crawled up his rear-end and died.

Either that or someone is just bitter.

Johnny - Shouldn't you be in the picture forum calling everybody whackers and asking them if they are licensed for every frequency programmed into their moble?
