First time I’ve heard Nellis FD automated dispatch for an inflight emergency today. Talkgroup 50. I usually hear that from MOCC. Maybe not a very new thing? I admit it’s not something I monitor everyday.

They started testing it last year.
There are also callboxes around the base that broadcasts automated alerts over the 99th Security Forces talkgroup. Dispatch then sends officers to the box or a nearby officer can self-dispatch.
