Does anyone have information on the dispatch (frequency(ies) for Nelson Ambulance... at least for the greater New Haven area?

Thanx

Yes, they do in fact use the Marcus system since about 2010. You will hear them sign on to Milford FD’s system when responding to a call and to receive dispatch data direct from FD.

Yes the Marcus LTR system is Passport, and no scanner will follow (trunktrack) it. However, if you monitor the home channel for the Trumbull site ( 463.6375 ), you will hear just about all of the traffic. If you get annoyed with the LTR data pulses and if you are close enough, monitor the input ( 468.6375 ) to hear the base and maybe the mobiles. I hear them fine from Milford.

If you do the software and SDR thing, I recall that SDRTrunk and perhaps Unitrunker can do Passport. However, these programs have both focused more on the newer modes and last time I messed with them, I believe they did not do Passport well.

Nelson is also dispatched via North Haven FD frequency (within North Haven) with the call sign of 5-Fox-##

I’m wondering if they’re going to eventually put everybody on the DMR network because some of the frequencies for the passport are listed as part of the DMR system that just my guess

They have been on a passport system for years. Since it can’t be trunk tracked with a scanner I just put frequencies in for the Trumbull tower as conventional. I can hear dispatches for Milford on 462.1375. I haven’t researched enough to know if this is a “home” channel. I do put it in with no delay because of the bursts. The system will probably be switched over to dmr like the rest of the state in the future.

And you were answered above. They're on the Passport LTR part of the Homeland Defense Network
TG 61876 and 61879, however no scanner can decode it.
Actually, I think they are the only users of that system still. I could be wrong but eh.
