NETWORK 171

I have been picking up a DMR / Con+ Network 171 this morning in the Rideau Lakes area for about 3 hours now and just wondering
if anyone would know what this network would be. Signal is low but steady not encrypted but terrible audio.
Info I have
is 171-2 on 464.2250, 171-4 on 464.6625, 171-6 on 464.6375, 171-16 on 464.7625 . Neighbour sites of 1, 11, 15, 25. Any info
would be appreciated and satisfy my curiosity.

From the looks of it, I'd say SaiaNet in New York State.

I've picked up that site from here in Norfolk County.

With the info mciupa supplied It looks like it is around the Syracuse area at least the frequencies and talkgroups
that I picked up. Checked this morning and nothing so I guess will check it out periodically.

You picked up four separate sites of the SaiaNet system in Western NY, as @mciupa indicated. None of the Site ID's or frequencies were from the Syracuse site.

171-2 on 464.2250 = Attica (Wyoming County)
171-4 on 464.6625 = Elmwood/North Buffalo (Erie County)
171-6 on 464.6375 = Bristol (Ontario County)
171-16 on 464.7625 = Rochester (Monroe County)

Pretty good catch, tayridge. I've only been able to monitor 171-4 Elmwood on any consistent basis from Toronto.

Thank you all for the clarification and info. It is greatly appreciated. I am still experimenting with SDR radio which is fairly
new to me. I have 5 laptops with 3 SDR'S on each so can monitor several ch at one time. Hope 171 comes back would
like to get a better audio to match up with the talkgroups. Thanks again everyone.

I was able to get a little voice traffic from this system today. Site 17 463.325 and 463.625 Erie, NY

I was out in Toronto on Sat and picked up with my duckie antenna.. site 2, 3, 4, 8, 15 & 24. So the conditions where good for sure.
