Listening to New Castle County Fire/EMS, noticed that on box assignments for structure fires there are a series of 1, 2 or 3 beeps after the station tones and before the verbal message - what do those beeps indicate?

That's what I was thinking at first however on box alarm dispatches for structure fires I've heard various different ways with 1, 2 or 3 beeps - maybe something with high-hazard or high-occupancy addresses?

Maybe out of district companies being dispatched had something to do with it. Hopefully someone knows for sure can comment, now i'm curious too.

The number of beeps corresponds to the "Fire Sounded" level,

One beep - Any EMS Call, MVC, etc
Two Beeps - Electrical hazards, outside fires, Vehicle fires, etc.
Three Beeps - Structure Fires, Gas Leaks Inside, Lightning Strikes, Alarms

Think of it as a call priority ranking system
