• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

This is a large and very visible forum. We cannot jeopardize the ability to provide the RadioReference services by allowing this activity to occur. Please respect this.

Hello, I'm Brad with Unication Technical Support. New firmware version V2.02 has been undergoing thorough testing and was successfully pre-released to Unication Authorized Dealers a month ago. We are preparing to publicly announce and release new firmware V2.02 later this week and I thought I should share with our RadioReference crowd in advance.

Direct link to the AutoUp site to download the new firmware, PPS and release notes:

Still no TETRA I see...

I downloaded the new PPS version via the autoup link without any problem. However, when I click the download button on the page for the firmware updater, it downloads a file called CRDOWNLOAD and I can’t figure out how to run it.

I must be missing something.

Not the file name I got when I downloaded through the AutoUp site, FW file was "gseries_voice_firmware_V2.02_20240409.exe"

I signed up for the AutoUp service long ago, and then it all stopped. Afterwards, everyone was forced into pestering their dealers, or contacting Unication directly.

Will signing up on this new AutoUp link put me back on the list for future updates like before?
Yes. You can also sign up to be notified when new updates are released at the link below by submitting the form at top of page titled "Stay Updated- Sign Up Here".

I have two G5s, one 800/VHF and the other 800/UHF. The site requires a serial number so it can provide the best software match. Do I need to obtain separate updates for each unit?

No, Firmware V2.02 supports all models (G2, G3, G4 and G5) of any age in any band split. The serial number used to enter the AutoUp website has no bearing on the Firmware download.

*** Please direct questions/inquiries to info@unication.com or support@unication.com for quickest response. Thank you.

That's just a temporary file. Could be result of a failed download. Usually those "turn into" the file you intended to download, once the process completes. Be patient, wait for the download to complete. Delete them if they are littering up your hard drive.

i sent a log to uni in TW per their request i keep all posted what they find.
Not the answered i was looking for.WOW.

The problem reported by the customer is mainly because the customer set to receive 49 sets of TG, and the TG did not set priority.

Under the trunking system, the more call groups are received, the more likely it is that the beginning of the call or the entire call will be missed.

The busier the system, the more obvious this situation is. This is the Normal phenomena or limitations on trunking system.

Solutions as below.

Solution 1: Reduce the number of TGs received.

Solution 2: Add important TGs to the Priority Talk Group List to ensure that high-priority TGs will not be missed.

I disagree again no issue ver 1.35

Makes sense to me, more you try to listen to the less you'll hear.

If you are using the CPR Manager it is tab C3, if not use tab E2
