New Guy Needs Help!!!!!

I purchased a PRO 97 and was wondering if anyone had some tips on programming it. This is my first scanner and I really dont know much about it. I live in nueces county and found the frequencies posted in the database. I just wanted to know if there was anything I should know before I start pressing buttons and entering numbers. Also, Should I purchase a different antena? and if so which one? I really appreciate any help that I receive.

Programing from your computer is highly-recommended here. I use Win96 and the ability to make and save files to download from my compuiter is wonderful.

The use of alpha-tags is great with this software.

Suspect Don's 97 program is similar.
