I am really new to all this and this is probably a silly question but ill ask anyhow. How long typically does it take a new live audio feed to be up and running?

Thanks

I just got my first feed online this week.

It took less than 6 hours for my application to be approved. I've read it gets approved faster if you include a lot of details. I included Department and Frequencies I would be broadcasting.

Once I was approved, it took me about 3 hours to get the software running because I ran in to a problem with my sound card. Soundcast wouldn't work so I used one of the alternatives.

Once I had my feed streaming, it showed up in the list in less than 30 minutes.

Hope this helps.

HI

Welcome to RadioReference.com Live Audio.

I show no pending feed applications for you.

I show that I have not sent you any e-mail re a feed application.

Another admin may have and did not get a reply for the request for more info.

Best is to re submit & please include a list of what agency(s), along with the frequencies and or talk groups they utilize.

If you cannot supply a complete list, please list the main agencies. Please also include any additional States and Counties that the feed will cover.

Please no all upper or all lower case text.

Example:
This feed includes:
Home County Sheriff 455.555Mhz
Wayback Police 455.565Mhz
Home County Fire 453.250
Hopeless City EMS 155.565Mhz
Home County WA6FTL 147.550Mhz ARES Repeater

Also, please read over and be sure that all agencies being monitored comply with the Radioreference Terms of Service (TOS).

Actually I'm asking from a listner point of view, there aretwo new live feeds on Santa barbara Ca live feeds but they seem always to be offline and even the original Santa Barbara County Sherriff, police etc feed that i always listen to is now been offline more than it has been online. I was just wonderingwhy and how long do these types of things go on for?

p.s. love the site and as soon as I can get the money to become a premium member I am going to update myself. Thanks again D LEWIS, LOMPOC CA :):):)

Feeds are provided by volunteers.
They come & go as the feed provider decides.
