• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

    We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

    If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Hey,

I'm Evan. I live in Fraser. I just bought a radio shack pro-106. I have had a Uniden BCT8 hardwired into my truck for a a few months now. Just like the idea of a portable scanner this one is digital too. I am looking at listening to local police, fire and ems. I am also interested in CSP and CDOT. Thanks!

ARC500 didnt pay for it yet
You might also want to check out PSREdit500 and WIN500.

Personally I have, and use, both as they each have features and methodology of doing things that make some things easier to do and do some things the other doesn't do. The co$t for the 2 is also less than the co$t of ARC500pro. (And... Yes, I *did* actually try ARC500. I will also admit that I've been using both the PSREdit and WIN software since Mike and Don started writing them. I go back all the way to WIN92 and PSREdit300.)

Just an `Olde Fart's' 2¢ worth. {GRIN!}
