"NEW" radio system for PIMA County... when?

Last night (11-4-2010) KVOA -TV here in Tucson did this report of the "new" planned Public Safety communications system for Pima County...According to the report it is supposed to consist of a tower on Tumamoc Hill.... We shall see.....

I don't blame them at all!!!I personally think that this system is still years away, if NOT LIGHT YEARS..For one they are "spec'ing" a P25 Phase II system that still to this day DOES NOT have its act in place..The tower location has issues and some of the players are unsure about some aspects AND the final costs. Then there is the good old Pima County itself....Like I said AT LEAST another 2 years at the minimum....:lol:
