#1 Do you fall under any City Ordinance's or Home Owners Association Restrictions?
#2 If not how much room do you have for guy wires. Rohn 25g allows for 30 feet above guy point or house bracket.
#3 What kind of budget do you have for this project? New Rohn 25g will be $125 per 10 foot section PLUS INSTALLATION (in 1976 I got $1.65 a foot to put up tower plus antenna fees.)

The last I talked to a friend they get $250 Labor to put up 50 foot plus equipment plus a cubic yard of concrete to go in the 3 foot by 3 foot by 3 foot deep.
$75 to $100 for a Saturday was not bad money in the mid 70's.

Height would entirely depend on what it is you want to listen to/talk to. There is no one tower height that will work for everyone.

Sit down and spend some quality time with Google Earth running line of sight paths to the different systems you want to listen to. That'll tell you how high your antennas need to be.
