I've recently programmed both my BC246T and Pro-97 for three systems: OKC EDACS Inner Simulcast, OKC EDACS Outer Simulcast, & Oklahoma DPS. Then I've locked out most of the known TGs so that I can focus strictly on new and unidentified TGs. It is actually making scanning these systems a lot more fun, as I had previously given up finding new TGs altogether. Even though I've listed these new TGs in AFS format, I've got my two EDACS systems "channelized" using decimal format and it works much better because I can see which "channels" are available and which are used. However it appears from looking at the master list (on RR) that the city is using the AFS format for separating groups.
Here are a few new TGs I've found on the city system:
06-001 - someone asking for coordinates for university (airplane/helo?)
06-067 - probably Parks & Rec department
06-121 - probably Public Works or sanitation
06-125 - probably sanitation or water dept
07-061 - references to Mickey Mantle's (restaurant in Bricktown)
Also, the first listed airport channel, 07-002, is used for some kind of primary channel, much like the zoo and the ford center uses their first channels. I have heard references to headquarters, SMS?, and maintenance. Looking on the net, I think SMS could be Safety Management System, but I'm not sure what that is. So maybe this is an all-call talkgroup. Any ideas on SMS?
If anyone has been running Trunker or whatever on the city's system, please PM me if you get a chance. I've got a few questions about affiliations on talkgroups that could probably be answered in a few minutes by just looking at the data. I promise I won't be a burden to you -- I just don't have a way to run that program on the system.
