Forget Jacksonville SO and FR as they are encrypted. Jax beach has a trunked system that's non-digital, Motorola type II I think. Info is in the database under Duval Co. St.Johns Co. to the south is conventional freqs and Clay Co., also to the south is non-digital LTR Multinet. Not trunk trackable but you can half way follow by programming in the 11 freqs as conventional system. I think Nassau co. to the north just went APCO-25 digital. Check the county databases for latest info. Duval has a FR simulcast initial dispatch freq and SO has a News Media alert freq also in Duval's database.

Why would you post information that you are not sure of? Such as JFR being encrypted. Just because you don't have a digital radio?

LPT-1 if you think you can crack the DES-OFB have at it. Let us know in a week or so.

He still would not be able to use it. Once the stun command is given it would be a brick. Even reprogramming it would not bring back the encryption.

Sorry about the break. On another thread LPT-1 was saying how the Jacksonville system was "trashy". If he just moved here and was not listening to anything how would he know it was trashy?

I was at the grocery store today, talking to other people. Four mexican illegals came up and said they knew how to decode encryption. Must be part of your people group.

Well, first of all, I don't. Second, I was referring to SO and not FD but grouped them together by mistake. Third, I was just trying to help and I posted a response to my error and stating that I don't have a digital scanner was a factual statement. Now, go find some other posts to nit-pick to pieces. This was already addressed and corrected.

Well, to "re-rail" this thread (if that's a term)...I am moving to Jax in 3 weeks from Gainesville. I plan on listening to JFR with my 996. What else do you enjoy listening to in the area (not really interested in listening to stuff that isn't around where I live).

Thanks!

JEA is on the 800 system digital. I have on mine is JFRD, JEA, JTA, JAX MED and some other channels. I hardly pick up the 800 on 996 since I'm far away unless I go up like 2 or 3 miles down the road picks up a little better.

I know what JFRD is, but what do the rest stand for?
