Today Newberg and Dundee 800 system was turned over onto the Washington County sytem.

Could you please elaborate?

There has been much confusion here on the site regarding this switch, so what form did it actually take?

Is the Newberg transmitter site now transmitting the 16 WCCCA simulcast channels? The 5 WCCCA fill-in channels? The same frequencies, but now on SysID 290F as opposed to 4A3D? Or no change except transmitter location?

Confirmed: just heard Newberg PD Dispatch (TGID 52976) on WCCCA Site 1. I'll be logging what I can find...

EDIT: Just hit 53200 (Newberg Fire Dispatch) and 53360 (Newberg OPS42) on WCCCA...looks like the real deal.

Sounds like, it would be safe to put in Newberg TGs in WCCCA system in radio.

Nice. Well, its good to see that one part of the county is operating normaly, for the past 3 days the rest of Yamhill County... all the county law agencys are working off of UHF common. Sounds like the radio techs are getting some new upgrades to the uhf system or something. Wonder if they might make the switch to 800??

They are keeping the Newberg system with the 4 frequencies as a backup system in place for now.

On a side note...is McMinnville still staying on their own system, or have you heard any plans to join the rest of the county?

Pretty sure they are staying on their mpt system, they are all receiving brand new Tait TP8140's. Although, there has been something going on with the counties uhf system...

McMinnville is staying on the mpt, but the remainder of the County is changing channels and changing to simulcast. They will have several Ops channels for both Law and Fire.

Are they keeping uhf freqs there using now? From Fcc data base that got lot Uhf freqs to use.

Currently down here at Providence Newberg (my father is in the ER) and I can barely hear Newberg's 800 system, but I can pick up WCCCA clear as day.

YCOM is coming in a little fuzzy too...

EDIT: just got a few strange looks for having two scanners, a laptop, and my phone propped up on the table. :)

But the county has had simulcast for several years now... they also have had a voting repeater system for several years as well. So are they just adding more channels to their current system?

It was simulcast, but with different PL tones per tower. Now there will be no different tower PL tones.

Whats the point of that? Ive known that they have had the same inputs for most of the law side, as Ive only been able to hear talking on 465.6250- Which is the offset for HighHeaven but ive heard Amity units on that input. Why would they want different PL tones if they already have a system that has the same inputs? Were they simply not ready for that yet?

I guess they are not really PL tones, but the system was/is in a multi-cast mode instead of simulcast. The radio needed to be changed to different towers to get reception. The new programming will use the strongest signal.

Yeah, I emailed Ycom a couple days ago, and they told me that it was a multicast system before but now they are changing it to a fully simulcast system. So I guess they will have the same inputs and tones as of now. There are probably certain places where they dont have the same inputs, like down west. I havent really been down there much so I dont know the frequencies.

And just out of curiosity, you are the feed provider for the 82 side I beleive- is it just my internet connection or does the wccca system seem to be cutting out? Im pretty sure its me cause I dont have the fastest connection..
