Been interested in radios and scanners my life and I have a few questions. I also work at the Shack, and at my store, I am the only one interested in scanners. My questions are, mainly for letting my potential customers know is:
1. What does trunking mean?
2. From what I was told, if you are in a trunking area, you can not use an older, non trunking scanner, is that correct?
3. What models of scanners, RS branded, are trunking? I am looking to get one, but I can not afford really too much of anything, my wife broke her ankle, so almost any extra money has to go in taking care of her. I will hopefully be getting a premiere membership soon, because I feel that can help the sales at my store if we can start programming the scanners.
4. What other information should I give my customers?
