Newbie needs help with Win97 and a Pro-97

Hi all,

Clueless newb here. My local PD (Fremont, CA) recently switched over to what I think is a trunked system (yes, I'm a newb . Now that I can't listen in anymore it seems like there's 10x the police activity than there used to be. I've tried to plug these numbers into the DEC/HEX cells of the Win97 program but it rejects them, and I've no idea if their system is even compatible with my old Pro-97. Anyone have any quick tips to help me get ready for the zombie invasion? Is this even doable?

Sorry to tell you but the 97 will not work on that system. The D stands for DIGITAL and the E stands for ENCRYPTED (not scannable). The D fleets are scannable using several P25 phase 1 scanners pro18 pro197 pro106 gre 500 gre 600 plus all the newer P25 Phase 2 scanners HP2 BCD436HP BCD536HP Whistler WS1080 PRO-668 ect.

Thanks a bunch for answering that question. As long as I can get the dispatch I think I'd be content. I'll look into an upgrade soon.
