I think I got the upgrade to a 32gb SDHC card using sentinel. Keep me honest

I opened Sentinel abd plugged in the the SDS usb and put it in mass storage.
Selected read from scanner.
Disconnected from usb and powered down
swapped from out 8GB card to the new 32GB.
powered up and connected usb into mass storage
selected clear user data and eventually found the correct drive. (Is this basically a format of the drive?)
once completed selected write to scanner and overwrite favorites.
unplugged usb SDS reboots and voila.

TIA.

"Clear User Data" is not a format operation. Rather it clears any scanner created data on the SD card, including database, favorites lists and recordings. After that, it will add necessary files to the SD card so that the data can be written to the SD card.

(It's also kind of a way to re-set a scanner if things are going really bad.)

The only step missed is formating (via the recommended method) first.

SD Memory Card Formatter for Windows Download | SD Association
Thanks I reworked it using the SD formatter.

Right on. I think i am getting the basics of it so far.

We had some storms roll through yesterday he in the florida panhandle (Bay County) and it was great to have the scanner running.
