Norfolk General Hospital

at 4:54 Norfolk dispatchers made a general broadcast saying all units be advised Norfolk General can not accept any critical care patients because they have no functioning operating rooms and they are on critical care divert. i have no idea why they said this i know from a personal expeirence they alot of OR's

this was caused by a car hitting a pole about 5000 customers lost power including CHKD and Norfolk General

There was an MVA near the hospital and it disrupted power to Norfolk General and CHKD hospital. The emergency generators came on then failed. When the annoncement went out they were on battery power.
