I turned on my PRO-94 and noticed my NHP Trunked was not working. I rechecked my numbers and then began to scan frequencies. I found them from 853.1625 down to 851.475. Dose any one know when they moved and what frequencies they are now using in order to trunk them?

Nevada Shared Radio System

Welcome to RadioReference.com.

I am fairly certain that these Nevada channels have "rebanded". Is this the system you are trying to receive? There is more data on that page (or links to it).

Sorry it's been a while since I've been on here. I looked at all the new numbers for this region and none match the frequencies i hear the NHP on. I travel from CA to Wells a lot and stop in Winnemucca for lunch and I have every number that Radio Reference has programed in for the trip and cannot hear a thing while in trunk mode. I take it off trunked and I can hear NHP on numbers not listed in any order. Any help will be appreciated.

In the Reno Area NHP uses the Washoe County EDACS system - go to the NV database and select Washoe County and then open the Washoe County EDACS system - Program in the 15 freqs from the Metro Simulcast site that should do you good for the Reno area and quite a ways East - then they are on the NSRS system

I have it trunking on some channels but not all. So if anyone can figure out what other channels we need will help lots.

Where exactly are you located? I can't find the frequencies you posted in the list for any of the sites on the Washoe County Trunking System, Washoe County, Nevada - Scanner Frequencies page.

Make sure you put the frequencies in the right order also.

Also if ypu are using a Radio shack scanner make sure you start with the second channel in the bank you are programing - if the first channel in the bank you are using is 80 for instance put the first number of the LCN order in 81 and lock out 80 - EDACS systems reference the different frequencies of the trunked system by channel number not frequency - if you have the LCN enetered begining with the first channel in the bank 10/20/30/40 ect which to the system would be channel 0 instead of channel 1 and then you will be one off

Good point, I forgot to add that! :)

I have made sure i input the first number in 401 and started from there. I went to the following link, Nevada Shared Radio System Trunking System, Various, Multi-State - Scanner Frequencies and i still cannot find the frequencies I'm looking for. None are in there at all. I found the ones mentioned in an earlier post by trial and error. I do believe northern Nevada has rebanded or something strange. Is there any way to find this information out? Any way I can hear all of some talk group's but most i only hear one side of a conversation.

This may help, from "Latest News Update":
For sites that contain frequencies between 866.000 and 869.000 MHz, compute the re-banded frequency be subtracting 15.000 MHz from each fo teh 866 - 869 frequencies. I.e. for frequency 867.750 MHz, compute the re-banded frequency as 867.750 - 15.000 = 852.750 MHz and enter the 852.750 frequency (same LCN slot) into your radio instead of the 867.750 frequency.

Try these for Elko:
Elko Mountain 01 856.96250c* 02 857.96250* 03 858.96250* 04 855.96250* 05 859.96250*
Elko - North (East Twin Peak) 01 855.21250c* 02 856.21250* 03 857.21250* 04 850.46250
Winnemuca:
Winnemucca 01 856.46250c* 02 857.46250* 03 858.46250* 04 859.46250*

I tried this before but the ones for the Winnemucca area originally started at 856.4625 up to 859.4625 and my scanner will not let me put in 840"s so this did not work.

Here are the frequencies I have obtained from another wed site regarding 853.1625 as the control number from Winnemucca MT. Dose anyone recognize the numbers and if they are in the right order? 851.475(1)-806.475(2)-851.850(3)-806.850(4)-852.475(5)-807.475(6)-853.1625c(7)-808.1625(8)

I'm not in the area to help you but one concern I see is that LCN's 2,4,6, and 8 are inputs to repeaters. You need to add 45MHz to get the output. The control channel will steer you to the LCN and it must be in the range of 851.0125-868.9875 whether it's pre or post rebanding. I can not tell you whether your LCN is correct so the info you have is no good (at least partially).

Good luck. Once you figure this out submit the info for the database updates.

This is all new to me. I need to add 45MHz to what? also do I need to keep the LCN's 2,4,6 and 8 programed into my scanner? And 853.1625 is the only control frequency i seem to pick up off Winnemucca MT.

O.K. Here is what I did. I input 851.475(1)-851.850(2)-852.475(3)-853.1625c(4)-856.4625(5)-857.4625(6)-858.4625(7)-859.4625(8)And this seemed to do the trick for Winnemucca MT NHP. I appreciate all the help I received on this issue. Thank you all. Maybe some one will add the 851.475 through 853.1625 to the NSRS page. They Work.. I put in the old frequencies just in case they go back to them.
