Not getting all channels?

So I told you this newbie would be back 🤪
I have had no problem using proscan now- except, when we listen to the police scanner apps on our phones, it seems there are more local things going on that we are not getting on the scanner we just bought and programmed. We’ve tried uploading different options from the database. Wonder why we’re not picking up everything?

I just looked up your location. Is this the system you have programmed Sedgwick County Trunking System, Wichita, Kansas - Scanner Frequencies
That will be all Sedgwick Co sheriff and Witchita police.
If you programmed only Kansas Statewide Interoperable Communication System (KSICS) Trunking System, Statewide, Kansas - Scanner Frequencies, you are only getting state patrol and DOT

Also it likes like the Sedgwick system might be a Harris system (as another member pointed out to me a couple weeks ago)
All 20 of those frequencies have to be programmed since anyone could be a control channel.

The other question, as a newbie, do you have everything programmed correctly? There is a heirarchy to these systems. Build a system. Create a site and a group. Frequencies go into sites, talkgroups go into groups. I would also recommend changing to ID Search. If you are receiving correctly, you should have several bars show up at the top of the screen, sort of like your cellphone. The number of bars depends on the signal strength being received.

One other thing to note, the Sedgwick system appears to be simulcast. The 996 is a great radio (I own one) but not necessarily designed to handle simulcast.

yes the trunking system you quoted is what we have programmed. I will take a look at the other info you suggested and get back with you, might be tomorrow though. Thank you!
