I'm trying to confirm information posted here as well as various other websites (eastcoastscanning.com, bergenscanner.com, etc.) The list that I've compiled so far is for Northern Bergen County. If anyone has corrections, additions, deletions, etc., please post accordingly. I'll submit corrections to the database when finished. I don't have alot of information for EMS, so if anyone knows what they are dispatched and respond on, also post accordingly. I'm told many EMS units call in service on the PD channels, so let me know.

You have it right but the EMS do use the police channels when responding to the scene. They use the EMS frequency for rig-to-rig communications. The o nly exception is Washington Township which uses 155.2650 for dispatch AND communications. I have personally confirm that EVERY Pascack Valley Ambulance has the following channels:
155.1300 PV Police 1/Ambulance Westwood and Hillsdale (ambulance DISPATCHES on 158.7600)
155.7900 Tri-boro Police 1/Ambulance(ambulance DISPATCHES on 155.8200)
155.2350 Tri-boro Ambulance 4
155.1900 RV/OT/Emerson Police 1 (ambulance DISPATCHES on 158.7600)
151.0925 Washington Twsp Police

Tri-boro AMBULANCE DOES NOT have any of the Pascack Valley FIRE CHANNELS. HOWEVER I am unable to confirm all ambulance have 155.2650 PL 71.9 to communicate with each other.
When they hav e a mass casualty Pascack Valley AMBULANCES use SPEN/JEMS 4 153.7850. Although every ambulance is required to have JEMS2(155.3400),JEMS3(155.2800) and JEMS 4. Usually channel 14 JEMS 3, channel 15 is JEMS 4 and 16 is JEMS 2

PV Fire 3 is a repeater and the input is 159.1650 you're right the input to PV Fire 1 is 154.2350, BUT PV Fire 5 is also 154.2350 WITH A PL OF 156.7. Note the different PLs. The don't use 158.8950 an y more because of the interference with Ridgewood ESU on the same frequency!

NORCON
The NORCON Standard Channel plan is:
154.1750 123.0 -FIRE 1
154.2800 123.0 -RESPONSE 1
154.1450 107.2 -OPERATIONS 1
154.2650 123.0 -RESPONSE 2
153.8300 123.0 -OPERATIONS 2
154.0700 123.0 -FAST TEAM
158.9400 123.0 (Or Towns PL)-MUNICIPAL (Tone outs)
154.2800 156.7- COUNTYWIDE FIRE

All NORCON towns have this in their radios some in that order and some not, but they are referenced by those designations.

When NORCON is activated the town hosting switches from their own frequency if they do not use FIRE 1. All responding mutual aid units are told to switch to RESPONSE 1 154.2800 123.0, and all on scene fireground ops are on 154.1450 107.2 . The other RESPONSE 2 and OPERATIONS 2 Channels are for if another incident is going on at the same time as the first one.

WYCKOFF FD
154.1750 123.0 -FIRE 1 this is what their units call in on (F-2 In their radios)
150.7825 210.7 Is WYCKOFF FD OPERATIONS (F-1 In their radios)
154.3475 (PL Needed) is WYCKOFF FD TAC (F-7 In their radios)

MIDLAND PARK
Midland Park Uses FIRE 1 154.1750 123.0 as their primary channel they do however have Wyckoff's Ops channel in their radios (F-8)

Great post! I was just about to start looking for this type of information for a live feed I plan on setting up over the Thanksgiving break later this month. I'll be using a digital scanner (based in Ramsey) to stream PD, FD & EMS in Northern Bergen and some of Rockland County. I used to live & work down there and miss monitoring the action. Fortunately, we still have family in the area who are willing to house my feed set-up for me. I'll remote control it from up in NH :)

I know this was a bit off topic, but just wanted to say thanks for the info!

Not totally. Let us know when you get it up and running, I'm sure Justin will plug it on bergenscanner.

They were initially running CSQ when the new desk was installed for the PD's new digital UHF freq. FD is also using 159.0900 as a talkaround, even though it is the input for 154.2500 79.7. I was told about the talkaround someone in the know. I am trying to find the PL they are using on 159.0900, the fire input/former PD freq.

Thanks Alarmguy. I'll be using Proscan software to stream & host the feed, using a Uniden BC796D digital scanner. I prefer Proscan for this application because it will give me complete remote control from NH and allow users to listen to the feed using the free Proscan client. Users will be able see the actual LCD of the BC796D and not have to guess which department is transmitting. I also like the fact that users can record what they are hearing as well. I'll send a post when it's up & running (Thanksgiving week).

P.S. For personal reasons, I'm interested in montoring multiple towns in Northern Bergen and part of Rockland (i.e. Clarkstown PD). I know some listeners might prefer a more focused feed, but not me ;-)

Thanks Chris.

I was listening to Franklin Lakes FD on their repeater today and FDNY Manhattan was stepping all over them. If they key their repeater when FDNY is talking, the interference is bad. They sould move the repeater output to the input frequenct (old PD) and get a new input licensed. I'm suprised they got coordinated.

151.0775 PL 123.0 is listed as Saddle River/USR Fire Operations. Saddle River has it licensed as an FB while USR has it licensed as an FB2 with no input frequency. Sounded strong today on 287 and I swear I heard a repeater tail. Anyone know if they put up a repeater? Input frequency ?

Ridgewood Fire uses 154.310 still, this is shared by Ridgewood EMS, Glen Rock Fire, Glen Rock EMS.

Ridgewood ESU has started using UHF. I rarely ever hear them on 158.895 anymore.
I believe it was 472.375. I dont the PL off hand.
I have heard also heard them 470.650

Yeah it is repeated. The Input is 155.2050 the old output frequency. They had some issues where it was broadcasting over both freqs, but that is fixed. They use 154.2050 and 154.0100 with 233.6 for simplex fireground comms. And Franklin Lakes is a mess on 154.2500 79.7 whenever they key the intermod for lack of better words is terrible, FDNY just about blows them off the air. How that got coordinated in simplex originally I will never know.

The PL for 472.375 is 156.7 its almost always referred to as "OEM 1" . 470.6500 PL is 131.8, its also a crossband repeater in Car 38 for 154.3100. An in building repeater is installed at Valley Hospital on that frequency and is used when they are at Valley on a call.
