NW Rogers Co Fire & OTEMS

A little bird told me it's on the agenda this month at the Northwest Fire Board meeting to vote on disbanding their dispatch and contracting to EDS (Pafford's dispatch) in Inola or Chelsea PD. OTEMS would also be switching to one or the other.

Pafford is actual is dispatched by EDS (Emergency Dispatch Service) which is located Foyle FD Station off of Hwy 66. (I can't remember which Station Number that is) They also dispatch for Limestone Fire, Foyil Fire, Chelsea PD, Integrity EMS.

Ah! thanks for clearing that up. i didn't know that Chelsea PD used them. I hear them att the time at work on our public works frequency.

OT: you guys sure like Darley trucks over there at Limestone!

Rolling Hills just started using them last week, they also started using a PL tone on their freq. I cannot remember what it is right off the top of my head though.

Thanks, firemark, I have not heard that. I make it easy on RCSO to pass the call to one location in a sense.

I wonder if they will leave northwests repeater in its current location and just obtain a new radio. Im not sure what the tower sites for these dispatch centers look like or what kind of coverage we are talking. I know when I worked at OTEMS we had trouble communicating from tulsa back to Oologah sometimes.

I can tell you what we have here at Limestone is a Data Line between EDS and our repeater. I am not sure what the do for OTEMS or NW Fire.
