I locked onto a NXDN signal in the 462 MHz range and it appears that DSD+ is receiving the data but with the settings I have, I either get no sound or I get the NXDN data sound. I’ve been doing a lot of research but haven’t found a solution.

Data channel only for mobile computers /work stations etc, very common here in BC, all over the place. The other thing is it could be a new frequency so radio shop leaves in on test for a predetermined time 24/7 365, to see if it interferes with other user on same frequency or adjacent ones , looking for spurious etc.
All repeaters undergo this, so its just dead carrier at the end of day. You could be witnessing a new repeater, but without the exact frequency, we are stabbing in the dark

I finally got some of it figured out. The frequency I mentioned is 462.425 MHz and it appears to be a repeater. DSD+ displays it as NXDN96 & is error free. A companion channel is the range with the same powerful signal strength is full of errors with a ton of err3 reported. I tried everything to see if I could eliminate the error but nothing changes this

Hi,
This is from the Feds website.

Image is — Plan for assignments of frequencies to land mobile and fixed service systems in the 450 - 470 MHz Band.

For Simplex Blocks C, D, E and F, the sub-bands 453.025-454 MHz, 458.025-459 MHz, 464.025-465.025 MHz and 469.025-470 MHz are sub-allocated for single frequency operations, respectively.

For Duplex Blocks E, F and G, the sub-bands 451-453.025 MHz paired with 456-458.025 MHz, 460.025-464.025 MHz paired with 465.025-469.025 MHz and 454.0-455.025 MHz paired with 459-460.025MHz are sub-allocated for two-frequency operations, respectively. The spacing between associated mobile and base station frequencies is normally 5 MHz with the mobile station in the upper frequency sub‑bands.

Your frequency falls in the Duplex Block G.

Cheers.

I found that channel is even stronger in the west end of the city near the rail yard. A strong signal I pick up everywhere in town is 461.425 MHz. DSD+ decodes it very well and it’s associated channels. So the performance of DSD+ on 400 & 800 MHz is spot on.

Next I tried it on the P25 provincial channels on 138 MHz. I have lots of signal but for some reason DSD+ is completely dead when these channels show activity on SDR#
