AAR 78 the Car Inspectors are using NXDN as I have icom F1100DS I don’t have a way to see the RAN used.

I didn't know they were using NXDN on AAR 78. I figured they were using it on AAR 97, as I have only heard the CW ID on FM lately. I'll try to drag my butt into town this weekend and see if I can make heads or tails of either of those.

I know they was talking about car maintenance on that channel, I have my iCom F1100DS radio and I was getting a crisp clear NXDN signal off it, but it's fairly low power, it's something to do with the cars though.
I've gotten a couple of different readings off the TRX-1, if this freq is 161.07
Sometimes it shows RAN1 & TG1, others it shows RAN0 & TG n/a--in fact, I've got the same two readings from the same Radio ID
Also carries shop-type traffic at Lamberts Point Coal Pier in Norfolk, with RAN consistently 0 and no talkgroup. Only two radio ID's noted.
On 161.28, my Roanoke loggings show the RAN as 0 consistently. No TG

I'm pretty sure 97 is the systemwide crossing monitoring system. Everywhere I've traveled PD is using 73 (161.205) in NXDN with encryption.
