Does the NYPD or NYC have any CSI type frequencies? In fact I don't even know if the NYPD calls there Crime Scene unit the CSI like the TV show. But anyways, some type of frequency that dispatches out the crime scene unit for the NYPD. Like Chicago has the Evidence Techs and the Crime Lab. Both are dispatched on citywide 2.

NYPD has technicians assigned to their Crime Scene Unit. I don't believe you'll hear them on any frequencies. Notification is usually from Radio directly to the appropriate borough Crime Scene Unit.

NYPD has two types of "Crime Scene" units. The Crime Scene Unit (CSU) of the Forensic Investigation Division responds on "major" crimes, i.e. murder, rape, etc. They are a citywide unit, HQ is in Jamaica Queens at FID, but they have units dispursed through out the city. They are rarely on the radio, they use Nextel and landlines for most assignments. Each Patrol Boro has an Evidence Collection Team (ECT) which responds to lessor crimes, i.e. burglaries, etc. You may hear them on Boro frequencies occaissionally. The Queens North unit would be Queens North ECT for example.
