Thanks. I have nothing for that system programmed into my daily DSDPlus files except for the network entry in the networks file.

I have 463.2 coming up in mine as belonging to 121.8. Freq is there but not listed as a cc. 20163 is a tg on that system and color code 8 matches also.




You get anything on 463.2? I am getting the same results in a virgin copy of DSDPlus.

Yeah, I am getting a Signal as well on 463.2. It's showing up as 121-8, So NYCOMCO DMR Site 8. Possibly another CC on the air. It doesn't look like a Voice Channel because the signal is constant.

It is listed as LSN 7 & 8 in the DB, although not listed as a Control Channel. It's possible that it's just another CC for Schunnemunk and hasn't been reflected in the DB as it hasn't been updated since 2016. No one probably noticed the change, and it was never submitted.

477.6375 is the control channel now. 463.2 slot 8 is in the rotation for voice traffic. Slot 7 appears to be data. I've seen this before on other sites where one slot runs continuously but is not in the voice traffic rotation.

Negative, So 477.6375 Looks to be the CC and 463.2 seems to be either Data or an alternate CC for some reason. Im not sure why, but that's how it is. Ive seen this on other sites of NYCOMCO. Never really cared enough to know why.

A couple of things to point out here...

• All control capable frequencies are highlighted in red in the database. 463.200 is not one of them, therefore it's not a control channel in any sense
• A constant carrier does not always indicate a control channel, as noted earlier data channels often stay keyed up for long periods of time
• If you don't see any peers being reported in DSD+ for a Con+ system when parked on a frequency, then it's not a control channel...this is a big clue
• If you only see Slots noted when there are voice calls, not LCN's, then you're not decoding a control channel...another big clue
• As a rule, a trunked site will only have one active control channel. There are exceptions such as multi-band co-located sites (primarily a P25 thing), or some of the weirdness in southern NJ with the OneVoice system, but 99 out of 100 times you're only going to have a single control channel active per system, per site, per band.

So yeah, bottom line is that 463.200 is a traffic channel for this site, always has been, not control capable.

Obviously things can change over time, so I wasn't suggesting that what is listed will always be or that there aren't errors in the database...clearly not the case. This system has been pretty stable for years, however. 🤷‍♂️

Had a feeling it was not a cc as only seeing one tg on that and the channel activity window never populated like on other con+ systems
