Nypd/Scpd/Nypd exercise?

Is there one going on today? 4 choppers (2 nass, 1 suff and 1 nypd) just took off from Bethpage and 3 turned off transponders.




And if they are still together, they are landing @ NYPD Heliport @ Floyd Bennett.

They usually do that when they are training new pilots. For NYE NYPD and FBI is the ONLY aircraft in the air over Manhatten, it is a restricted airspace from 6pm- 4am. Nassau and Suffolk PD have nothing to do with NYE in NYC.
