NYPD Transit Vandal Squad

Hello, I am pretty new to this. I recently purchased a BEARCAT UNIDEN 396XT.

I was wondering if anyone knew the frequency that NYPD Transit Vandal Squad (or any other Anti-Graffiti Task force) operates on? I am aware that someones NYPD Vandals uses TAC A-D channels which I rarely hear any action on.

Any information would he helpful as we are a privately run anti-graffiti organization. I am in charge of photographing recent graffiti hits and keeping records of repeat offenders. A lot of times, NYPD does not photograph these hits fast enough/no care much and the vandalism gets painted over with no proof that it ever existed.

they run on standard nypd divisions......... transit or surface

also you gotta be close to hear tac, there is no repeater , its simplex

You will probably not hear them unless they need help from other units. My suggestion though would be to monitor Transit Citywide. Most units like that stay on Citywide frequencies unless they have an emergency.
