so during hurricane irene this weekend, i seen a guy nypd guys from pbsi running around with xts2500's .......... with nypd engraving........... hmmmmmmmmm didnt have a chance to talk to them, too busy.............

anyone know anything about this?

Possibly they are slowly* (note the key word here*) starting to phase out their older personalized models as the waer of times demands.


Any special monitoring you observed or was it just routine traffic, new radio?

it was on the standard zone 35n/s ........ they pulled up in the boro van to tell me my relief was on the way and to head to another command b/c of a black out.............
