I am looking for info on NYS park police Taconic region. since they're merge with state police, 158.775 is quiet. what do they operate on now?

The merger never took place; State Park Police are still under the OPRHP.

That said, some changes did take place when the merger was thought to be a done deal. Bear Mountain (Palisades region) police and rangers were moved over to the SP Haverstraw talkgroup on the Rockland system, where they remain today (and will remain unless something drastic happens). That talkgroup is linked to the Orange system so they can roam seamlessly between the two systems.

No idea what happened with the Taconic region. Have you checked the Troop K channels for 8K units?

I just happened to ask a Park Police Lieutenant this yesterday and he advised that Taconic is now being dispatched by Troop K.

158.775 is very seldom used. Ive had it in my radio for months and have only logged a handful of hits. There is no dispatch audio, tho; kind of more ops than anything.

I haven't heard about any 8K units on NYSP Troop K 155.505 in a while. 155.50500 (Base to Mobile) Group Calls - Live
