Hey, is there a way to tell what department is in what area.. like if i wanted to listen to dispatch going from rochester hills, or orion... is there a way to tell what frequencys are what areas..

Rochester Hills is patroled by the Sheriff's. Auburn Hills is on UHF
Southfield is on UHF
Royal Oak, Berkley, Troy, Oak Park, Hazel Park, Beverly Hills all on VHF

Oakland County Sheriff is set up by 'zones' Rochester Hills has a main TGID and their car to car has thier own TGID. The same goes for other areas that OCS services. Check out Radio Reference for all of the Talk Groups.

A litle less than 3 months after a new heart valve, Aortic anuerism repair (Dacron tubing) and a few by-passs I'm doing fine. About 95% of my former self and ready to raise cane.

oakland county sheriffs can still be heard with an analog scanner correct??? like for the citys that they patrol, how can i find what city uses what frequency.. if that makes any sense....

Oakland County

Oakland County is still analog correct. They are currently on a Type II Motorola system. You need to be concered with talk geoups more than frequencies. More or less a talk group is like a virtual frequency. You'll need the control channels they switch between 4, or you can enter all of the frequencies depending on what mode you choose on your trunk tracking scanner.
