The funeral procession for the soldier killed in Iraq was traveling down Cotton Ave SW when a motorscout was struck. The suspect took off and a chase ensued. Units arriving reported officer down in the street. Officer seems to be ok, considering.

The chase just ended on Woodland Ave. One suspect on foot.

Dave, sorry, missed this post and your email. Do you know if the second suspect was captured? I ...of course... did not see anything on the news.

What's funny is, I was on the phone with the desk at 13 when it happened. I'm wondering if they didn't mention it because they didn't want to take away from the story about the soldier... since the officer was ok. With no stations reporting it, I bet that was the case. 13 had a car in the motorcade, so I'm sure it's not because they didn't have tape of it. I heard their guy tell the desk when he was on the scene.

I know BPD got the people who were still in the car. One of them was a child. As for the guy who ran, I THINK they got him, from the way it sounded, but I can't be for sure on him. If they didn't get him yesterday, it will only be a matter of time because they have his car and his family. LOL What an idiot.
