Officer Involved Shooting in Detroit

About 3:00 pm on march 10th, officers recieved a call of a burglary in progress. Upon their arrival, neighbors were wrestling with the suspects, and once the suspects noticed police presence, a gun battle ensued. Police returned fire with the suspects. As the shots were being fired, both suspects fled, and one tried to carjack a nearby occupied vehicle. It just so happens the vehicle he tried to steal was an undercover DPD officer. In the end, No one was shot, and only 1 suspect was arrested. The other managed to flee the scene in a van with the windows shot out, he is still at large.

On the TV news last night they said the guy escaped in a van driven by an undercover cop...who left the keys it it, and the engine running! The van was recovered soon after, not too far from the scene.
