Details sketchy, as they often are (fog of war), but units from Howard and Prince George's Counties (Maryland) were dispatched to the Econoline Motel at 9700 Washington Boulevard in the Howard County part of Laurel. At around 4:30 this morning for a signal 13 (officer down) and a report of an officer shot. The patient was found to have been shot in the abdomen, and was flown via Maryland State Police medevac (Trooper 3) to an area trauma facility.
The shooter is believed to still barricade inside the building.
