Officer shot on Peninsula

I don't have all the details, but heard part of a discussion regarding and officer shot last night. The officer is alive, a bit sore from a shot to the chest. His vest saved his life. No suspects in custody, but they do have descriptions.

The shooting suspect is described "as a white male, 5'10", 170 lbs wearing dark clothing, armed with handgun."

VSP aircraft is in the Grove area assisting in the search for a suspect in the JCPD Officer's shooting. They are using 154.695 MHz to talk to the ground units. JCPD is using Channel 2 (TG 1091) to coordinate the search on the ground.
