Ok so it seems we've possibly associated a TGID with one of the multitude of "Special Event" channels at least. Possibly narrowed down to one of 4 the Region 7 SE Channels. Each of the 9 Mississippi regions will have 4 Special Event channels per region plus 4 Statewides too.

Heard unit calling and talking with A-17. MHP??

Heard Alpha 7 report his location as "10 miles east of Mobile" the other night and the response was " Alpha 7 you sound just as good as you did in Beaumont, MS"

Think we've officially unoficially named this one Med-Com Admin. Keep monitoring it and let us know though. :)

10 MILES east of MOBILE!!!:D

Natchez area TGID's

After weeks of inactivity over this way, today TG's mysteriously started affiliating with the Natchez north tower (139). So far these have been affiliated:13503, 21102, 21103, 22000 and 22301. I know who the 22301 is, but the others still awaiting some voice activity. This has been the most activity I've seen in while. Looks very encouraging. If we could just get some voice traffic it would help fill in the pieces of the puzzle....will keep advised

This signals final P-1 acceptance and thus loading of it phase wide. Natchez region is the final region in P-1 so now youll start getting action. Loading is occuring in the same manner buildout occurred. Except of course in P-2A... Where MedCom was loaded even before acceptance of P-1 was done. This was done so that MedCom can get online and active asap. P-2A acceptance will be happening over first of summer, and P-2B by early fall.... As for the rest... Well that depends on FEMA's lil stumbling block. P-2 is now close to an year behind as for getting built out do to that. Site finding, acceptance and development can happen, but NO NEW CONSTRUCTION until FEMA gets done messing up the plan.

If this roadblock had not happened, P-2B would be finished, P-2C would be well under way, and site prep for sites in P-3A would be happening. The whole project now will be at LEAST an year to 18 months behind. This may change by June as Hurricane season starts up again and real pressure to go to full speed on certain areas gets put on.

As for loadout, Expect P-1 to be fully loaded and rolling by fall for state agencies..., and at least P-2A, possibly B also due to hurricane season. A few subscribers may get to start testing etc,.. But full subscription loading can NOT happen till MSWIN part 2 which won't even take bids until P-3 is underway.

As far as the areas that the state will put on priority to get done, the ENTIRE I-20/Highway 80 corridor from the LA line to the AL line is an evac route. In P-3 the ENTIRE I-55/Highway 51 corridor to Memphis will be priority, followed by Highway 49 North, and the Highway 61 corridor.

Add TGID #18 to the list showing up over this way. Still no voice traffic to report.

They were quite busy today, however, loading data in the Natchez north tower. More than 50 data hits thus far.

MDOT Truck 2769 calling for truck 2760 using call signs KQM77 and 4427 all on TG 21103. They were talking about having to go to McComb office for Wednesday.

I'm guessing 21102 is going to be the McComb district office. Will advise further when I can confirm that. They do have a project engineer and maintenance office in Washington (north of Natchez) with dispatch capabilities. The trucks i've been hearing are the same one's that always worked the Natchez/Adams Co. area, so TG 21103 is probably the Natchez/Washington office.

As I suspected the MDOT conversations are rich with call signs, even if they are the wrong one's. LOL

Tg #18

Heard voice traffic today from unit "Marion 8" on TGID 18. The dispatch only identified itself as "Brookhaven office." Don't have a clue who it actually is, but will continue to monitor and keep advised.

TGID 18 is Miss. Forestry Commission, Brookhaven office. Heard Lawrence Co. units (this a.m.) talking to dispatch about a fire that occurred over the weekend.

MS Forestry Comm,

Yea, everybody be forewarned, the MS Forestry guys communicate as if they're law enforcement. It will be very deceiving at first, but you'll eventually figure out that it's them. For instance the call I heard this morning was "Lawrence 1 to Lawrence 7" got real excited thinking it was Lawrence SO only to find out seconds later it was the foresters talking about repairing a dozer engine. They seem to assign each unit by the county name and a corresponding number. Will be somewhat confusing in the beginning.....LOL
