I have been having numerous instances where I receive an email regarding my feed being down.
I check my home server which is running Scannercast (formerly Oddcast) and it shows "Icecast OK" and my status as being online and broadcasting.
It is so as I type this.
The live audio page shows my status as red / offline - yet if I click the speaker icon my stream comes through.
This was the case with Oddcast / Edcast and I hoped it was isolated to that software.
I have troubleshot things on my end and am not sure why this is occurring. I have cable internet which has been very reliable, my server is XP Pro, virus / malware free, and I'm current with all updates including SP3. I have even opened and forwarded port 5700 to my server but the offline status continues. It is a very stable box which we stream music from daily - that said I can't foresee any high processor / RAM usage that would knock the feed down. It is in the basement with the monitor off most of the time so I don't witness what may be causing this when it actually occurs - I just check the box following the "feed down' email.
I have checked the computers event viewer and don't see anything there.
I'm not running any file sharing services that would burn up my upstream either.
I am at a loss to explain this and don't want to be a burden to the administrators or the few folks who listen to the feed.
Any insight would be appreciated.
