OG&E & SWEPCO

Hello all,

I live in the Fort Smith AR area. I have been trying to monitor OG&E & SWEPCO electric power companies. I can enter the trunked systems, but I hear nothing. Does anybody have an idea of what's going on with these two organizations?

Most likely they have migrated to the new AEP national P25 system American Electric Power (AEP) P25 Trunking System, Various, Multi-State - Scanner Frequencies

A good portion of the sites are running TDMA control channels which are hard if not impossible to monitor (without DSD or similar). Seems alot of your area has been undiscovered.

Sorry. I was only speaking of SWEPCO as they are an AEP subsiderary. I am unfamiliar with OG&E.

Thanks for your information. You are quite likely correct. I can monitor the old EDACS sites, and get good signal on data channels, but never any audio. I have been trying to monitor the AEP P25 national system, using a nearby site. Again, good signal, but no audio. I hadn't thought about the TDMA control channels. Thanks for letting me know.

SWEPCO is in the process of migrating from EDACS to P25P2 using TDMA CC.
