Olympia Fire Tactical

Can anyone confirm that Olympia Fire Tactical (Channel 9) is in fact a repeated channel and not simplex? Only reason I ask, is that I am monitoring from Olympia and for some reason that channel sounds horrible and is very hit or miss. I have no issues with any of the other Thurston County Fire channels or Olympia Fire Dispatch.

It is, was set up originally that way then left as a simplex channel for overflow and in the last year or so went back to being a repeated, response channel. Sometimes like last week's snow or multiple calls they'll stay on fire 2 and some units will talk direct on 9.

Thanks, and you have no issues picking up that channel clearly? Also, which frequency are you referring to as being Fire 2?
