I am thinking about investing in a new antenna. I have looked at the OmniX and the Diamond DJ130NJ
Would like to hear what others have to say It will be mounted about 35/40 feet on a mast.

I have an Omni X
It does a great job on everything except the 800's
My 860's come in and out all garbled up (I am only 15km away from one tower)
I have been looking at getting the Austin Spectra or Diamond D130 or D3000
I like the reviews on the Ferret but too much $$$

I have a omni X up and I find it superior to the scanntenna. It performs better than a diamond or rat shack discone on VHF and UHF air by a slight margin, not much but every bit helps. Dedicated antennas for each band are always better but this omni X would be a better choice than a cheap discone or scantenna.
