OPD Radios

How do the Omaha Police's Radios work? Do they have all of the repeaters from ORION put in the list or do they use one or two that works citywide?

They use the Douglas County Simulcast portion of ORION.

They mainly use the Douglas County Site which is actually a 7 RF site simulcast system.

All 7 RF sites transmit/recieve on the same 20 channels with GPS clocks so the system sounds like one RF site.

Interesting, thanks for reply! They must have the GPS clocks using the best 7 of the 20.

That is true, if the radios have the control channels for the other sites.

I don't think the radio need them. The radios can roam to the other sites, neighbors.
OPD radios have use OPPD sites Omaha, Gretna and Cedar Bluffs.
