How do I go about looking at all the frequencies that are now programmed in my radio? I would like to print out all the channels that I have or at least look at them. I do have a print out from the guy that programmed my radio but want to check which ones he actually put in and those on the list he left off. How do I get to the first bank and then to second and scan the list of programmed frequency. Is there an easy way to print the list off of the programmed frequencies that are in the scanner? Thank you. I am new to this and don't want to screw up anything that is already there. It does have quite a few frequencies as it is broadcasting very often.

Welcome, Stevevo. The easiest way is to press the MAN button. Press 000 and MAN again. Then the first channel in Bank 0 will show what the frequency is. By continually pressing the MAN button, you will advance through all 1000 channels. If this seems a bit tedious, you can get the thirty day free trial of Win97 here: www.starrsoft.com You will also need the USB programming cable to download your radio into the software to see what is programmed into it. This way you can also print a list of what is programmed.

Welcome to RadioReference.com !!!

One at a time! If they are all programmed, it will take a while.

I would like to print out all the channels that I have or at least look at them.
I agree with the idea of getting WIN97. Unfortunately it does not provide print-outs very well. There are other programs for the '164, but I am not sure if they are any better in that regard. Check the Wiki section here on RR and look at your radio model. It will tell you a lot about your radio, including all the software that supports it.

How do I get to the first bank and then to second and scan the list of programmed frequency.
The first bank starts at channel 0 0 0. Press MAN 0 0 0 MAN to get there. The second bank starts at channel 1 0 0. Press MAN 1 0 0 MAN to get there. You can use the MAN or UP keys to advance one channel forward, or you can use the DOWN arrow to move one channel backwards. Additionally, you can use FUNC UP or FUNC DOWN to go forward or backward one bank at a time (in MAN mode).

Is there an easy way to print the list off of the programmed frequencies that are in the scanner?
Do you know if any trunked systems are programmed? They use TalkGroups (TGs) and are more revelant to "channel information" than are the related frequencies. Also, they don't show up with the above instructions. Although you will see them on the screen if you use software to download what is programmed. Then you can at least see it all on your computer screen.

Thank you so much for your replies. Yes there is trunked frequencies on my scanner. I had someone program it for me and was just wanting to see what all was there. I have a print out list of most of the frequencies in my area so just wanted to check that the ones I am interested in are there. I went to buy the cord for the scanner at Radio Shack and the coupon for 1/2 price was rejected as the said I didn't buy the scanner with the cord. I think that the cord is a little on the high side for just a jumper cord. Does anyone have a schematic of the cord if one were to make one himself? Thank you for all the information that you have supplied so far.
