Does anybody know if Optimum uses Carrier-Grade Network Address Translation (CGNAT), in the city of Greenwich. Especially in apartment complexes.

Trying to help setup a TP-Link AX1800 to port forward. Port Checkers are saying all ports are blocked, even port 80, which I have never seen before.

Not sure what that pos company uses but even with 80 open, it does not push to pc running @ProScan

Where exactly did you open 80?

Used a couple of different port checker programs none would show port 3000 open, even though set open on the computer. None of the ports I tried showed open, but was wanting 3000 open. Router setup correctly.

Also when I ping the outside IP all I get is 'Request timed out'

I'm trying to see if port 3000 is open 68.197.155.197

I have it setup in the guys router, but all the port checkers I have tried say it is not open.

Also have rebooted the router several times but the IP address remains the same, the guy says he isn't paying for a static IP address from Optimum. Have also read that Optimum does some crazy stuff for multi-dwellings/apartments and block port forwarding at these places for some reason. He does live in an apartment complex.

Were you able to open 80? Is so, where did you do that?

I don't pay for static ip and mine has been the same for the last 3 years.

All I did was run the port checker on the whole system, nothing was reported open. I ran it on the standard open ports, one at a time and none reported open.

I'll admit I'm not that familiar with the online port checkers, but on my own system they show what is open and what is not, so not sure what's going on with his system.

Rdio-scanner setup correctly, port forwarding setup correctly, but will not work.

My IP usually changes with each router reboot :(

Have your friend login to the AX1800 to obtain the WAN IP address that will appear at the top of the Network-Status, then obtain the
Public IP address by opening a browser to WhatIsMyIP.org for a comparison where a mismatch would be an indication of CGNAT.

port forwarding setup correctly

Asking again, were you able to get 80 open and if so where did you do that? Got my 80 open as well as 5020 but can’t connect from web. Optimums equipment is the worst. Takes 46 seconds to log into the router. Glad I am dropping tv at that location and getting a basic router instead of Altice garbage.

If your not aware, port 80 is on this page and is a simple toggle.

The rest of port forwarding is on this page

I was able to get 80 and 5020 open but cant connect from web. I believe my router (which is altice crap) is ng.

Dumping their overpriced tv so I will have to receive a new modem/router from them since what's here now is this all in one cable box/router/modem POS.
