Anyone having range issues with Orange County system. I’m in Seminole but have been getting out of range notice the past 2 days.
Maybe a nearby cell tower interfering?Anyone having range issues with Orange County system. I’m in Seminole but have been getting out of range notice the past 2 days.
Can you link it, sorry still don’t think I understand what’s going on.There's a thread about this in the Unication forum. You'll probably want to read it.
3 radios with the same problem beginning at the same time. No recent programming changes. All radios still receiving Site 3 as well as Osceola and Seminole County systems. Only the Orange County Site 1 is affected. Did a factory reset on one of the radios and results are still the same. I have a friend on the other side of the county and he's having the same problem..... cannot offer anything other than
1. DSD+ isn't throwing anything odd in the data stream as far as I can tell - decoding is working fine, and I'm a long way away from that site.
2. I am unaware of any changes to the system.
3. I ASSume that you made no programming or firmware changes to your Unication radios? (have you tried to factory reset them and re-program?)
also tried setting the RFSS ID and Site ID to the wildcard search in PPS using "FF"...and no luck3 radios with the same problem beginning at the same time. No recent programming changes. Been on 1.34 since it came out (last summer/early fall I think). I know some have mentioned issues with it but I never had any problems until the last few days. There's also a thread going in the Unication forums on Facebook. Seems several us in Orange County are having the same problem. With this affecting all 3 of my radios at the same time, and the fact that I can still hear the system with a Bearcat 436, I can only guess that there was some small change on the system itself. The only other thread that references this sort of problem (link above) mentions a change in the band plan from 12.5khz to 6.25. There is no way in the G4 to change the band plan for trunking frequencies so I can't verify this. I can change the band plan on the Bearcat. Currently I have no band plan loaded and I'm receiving normally. Entering the band plan for site 1.1 as published in the RR database works fine also. If I then set all the spacing to 12.5, signal strength shows that the control channel is being received but the radio is dead to all talk groups. If the system has been changed to 6.25khz spacing, I have no idea why and I'm starting to get a bit over my head. If the G4 would allow 6.25 spacing then I would be closer to a solutionWhat firmware version are you using that are experiencing this issue? I am on 1.32
Sorry to be an interloper, but if this is a MSI system the band plan will be the same for all sites as it’s a system-wide setting. The only way it can be different is if the site is in site trunking. And even then Voyence should have caught it being different and updated the site controllers in the site.Hi Doug, can you check another site other than the simulcast (one that is working) to see if there are any differences in the band plan?. I'm having issues with my laptop DSD-plus etc is on right now
