I've done it again.
I had the good fortune of acquiring yet another classic gem. Although this one was not free, I paid $100 to become the proud owner of a President Washington AM/SSB base station.
This isn't just any Washington, but an original, before they were badged as a Uniden radio and the 4-pin mic socket was replaced with the 5-pin female SSB style of the Cobra 148/142, SBE Land Command and Uniden Grant XL.
This radio is in excellent condition. My only gripe is that someone has turned the AM carrier up so high that it is back swinging a bit when you modulate, but I plan to adjust it back down to 4 watts either tonight or this weekend when I get time.
Anyone here ever own one of these before?
